
The Swedish car manufacturer Volvo Cars sold 291,301 vehicles worldwide in the first six months of the year, which represents a decrease of 23.5%, while in June its deliveries contracted 26.9%, to 49,904 units .
By type of technology, the company registered 93,961 electrified vehicles (electric and plug-in hybrids) worldwide in the first half of 2022, which represents an increase of 0.2%, while the monthly figure decreased by 36, 6%, up to 10,645 units.
For its part, deliveries of plug-in hybrid vehicles fell 14.4% between January and June, to 71,741 units, and 41.3% during the sixth month of the current year, reaching a volume of 8,507 units.
As for sales of electric cars, the Scandinavian firm closed the semester with a sales volume of 22,220 units, which is more than double (+122%) the data from a year earlier. In June, deliveries fell 7.5% to 2,138 units.
