VEM 2022: everything about the largest showcase of the electric vehicle in Spain

The seventh edition of the Madrid Electric Vehicle Fair (VEM) will be held on the weekend of September 16 to 18 in Plaza de Colón, as reported by the organization of the event in a statement.

The fair, organized by the Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Mobility (Aedive) and the Madrid City Council, will make the capital “the nerve center of electric mobility”, to make available to users and a urban environment the latest models of cars, motorcycles, scooters, bicycles and trucks on the market, as well as equipment and services related to zero-emission mobility.

The fair will coincide for the second consecutive year with the European Mobility Week. Firms such as Nissan, Renault, Mercede-Benz, Peugeot, Kia, Endesa X, Floox, Iberdrola, Wenea, Yadea, Cargove, Empark, Telpark and Lynk&co have already confirmed their participation.

In a context of rising fuel prices, the organizers plan to double the number of visitors achieved in previous years and exceed the barrier of 40,000 people throughout the three days that this fair lasts.

Its objective is to accelerate the rate of penetration of electric mobility in the Spanish automobile fleet and to publicize and test the catalog of two- and four-wheel electric vehicle models on the market.

“The VEM Fair has established itself as one of the great gatherings of electric mobility in the world and the place that brands choose to announce their electric mobility prototypes in Spain, in the region where the most electric vehicles are registered in the country” , has pointed out the general director of Aedive and organizer of the Fair, Arturo Pérez de Lucia.

During the meeting, the streets surrounding the Plaza de Colón in Madrid will be filled with models of different brands of cars, motorcycles and bicycles, so that visitors can drive them in an urban environment once they have registered.
