This is the new and aggressive “face” of the CUPRA Formentor, León and Born electric

CUPRA experienced last week what will be for a long time the most important event of its short career as an automobile firm, as it presented three new models, two of them in production form, and one more as a concept car, the CUPRA Terramar, Tavascan Y urbanrebel, respectively. Not satisfied with it, and although they have been relegated to the background media, the brand also presented the new “face” that will soon be showing off the models that currently make up its range, the Lion, Formentor and also own CUPRA Born electric.

It did, however, briefly, because the brand he barely let them see the event attendees for a few secondsso for that reason there are not too many images of them, at the moment.

It should be noted that this new CUPRA design language It is exclusive to the Spanish sports firm, so no SEAT model will benefit from this new face that the brand has shown. This means, mainly, that although the Leon is a model that finds a place in both the CUPRA and SEAT ranges, the design shown last week will be exclusive to CUPRA.

The redesign shown shows changes in absolutely the entire front. Broadly speaking, the grille that took place between the headlights in both Leon and Formentor disappears to give way to a slight opening, leaving all the prominence to a huge “mouth” in the lower part of the bumper, while the headlights pass to show off a light signature with triangular motifs.

In addition to this, and perhaps the most striking feature of this new design language, since it has also been seen in the Terramar, Tavascan and Urbalrebel, it is the sharp end of the hood between the headlights, which seems to give shape to a “nose” that is responsible for giving the whole a more organic image.

Although CUPRA has not confirmed when we will be able to see these three new models on the streets, based on the speed at which the firm evolves and its plans, they should have made all the redesigns official before the end of the yearwith the Born being the only electric car in its range (for now and until the arrival of the Tavascan in 2024), and with the Formentor and León being offered in plug-in hybrid format.
