This is the first closed parking in Spain for motorcycles, bicycles and electric scooters in a station

Located in the parking lot of the arrivals terminal of the Atocha Station, the module that has just been inaugurated MimoTo It is the first in Spain that offers a closed car park for the exclusive use of motorcycles, bicycles and electric scooters and that is located in a train station or airport.

As specified by MimoTo, this is the third car park of this type that the company has inaugurated in the capital, but it is the first of all that takes place in a Spanish station or airport. More specifically, it is located next to the arrivals terminal of the Puerta de Atocha Station in Madrid.

This location is thus added to the other two that MimoTo has put into operation before, which are located at number 120 Claudio Coello Street and number 8 Concepción Jerónima Street. All of them, for the time being, in the capital. However, they will soon open their first car park outside of Madrid. This will be located in Barcelona, ​​in Carrer de la Ciutat 5, in the heart of the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. With the inauguration of this location, the company has reached an offer of 50,000 parking spaces distributed throughout Spain.

Among the most striking characteristics of the peculiar car park that is the subject of the news, the 24/7 surveillance, XXL parking spaces (although they do not specify measures) and above all, the protection of the motorcycle, bicycle or electric scooter from inclement weather or from other road users, especially bicycles and electric scooters, which are the most exposed to theft and falls to the ground when parking in the middle of the street.

In total there are 58 places that MimoTo has enabled in the Puerta de Atocha Station in Madrid, of which 48 are designed for motorcyclesand the 10 remaining for bicycles or electric scooters. In addition, as specified by the company, the car park has two power outlets to charge both scooters, bicycles or electric motorcycles.
