The Polestar 2 is the first high-volume model from the Swedish electric car manufacturer. Polestar has just landed in Spain with the opening of reservations for its sedan as well as its website, thanks to whose configurator we can find out how the cheapest version of the electric Polestar 2 is in our country.
To speak of the Polestar 2, however, is to keep in mind the Tesla Model 3, since it is the most successful electric car in the world and both are located within the same segment, that of the D-segment electric saloons, although for prices it should be noted that the difference between the access versions could well make it seem that the Swede is one step below, but nothing is further from reality.
Of the three versions through which the electric Polestar 2 has arrived in Spain, the most accessible is the one called Standard range Single motorwhich is the one that equips the smaller battery and uses a single electric motor located under the hood to achieve front-wheel drive.

The engine promises power to spare thanks to the 170 kW (231 hp) and 330 Nm of torque, which gives the possibility of reaching 100 kilometers per hour from a standstill in 7.4 seconds. The battery from which it is fed, meanwhile, has a capacity of 69 kWhand with a homologous full charge on average in the WLTP cycle it boasts of 440 kilometers of autonomywhile in urban use (the most favorable for consumption) it can reach up to 660, an optimistic figure.
In real circumstances, however, we can expect ranges below 400 kilometers. In fact, the American agency EPA, which is in charge of homologating autonomies and consumption in the United States, gives a range of 375 kilometers for this version of the Polestar 2, so the average figure will be closer to this than to the European .
This version is priced in Spain at 46,190 euros, and has exactly the appearance of the unit that accompanies these lines. It comes standard with 18-inch dual-tone diamond-cut wheels, while the paint available at no extra cost is called Magnesium, similar to silvery gray. Inside, meanwhile, the upholstery is black fabric, which Polestar refers to as Charcoal Embossed Textile, and is accompanied by a 3D-effect dashboard insert.

Among the standard equipment, and as the most outstanding elements, we find the Android Automotive OS multimedia system with integrated Google, digital radio, the Polestar Digital Key, semi-electric front seats with mechanical backrests and 4-way electrically adjustable lumbar support, parking sensors front and rear with rear camera and complete lighting in full led, among many other aspects.
As an option, there is only the possibility of equipping the Polestar 2 with four equipment packages, while no element can be added in isolation. The packages are called Pilot Lite, which for 2,500 euros adds various driving assistance systems; Plus, which for 4,500 euros, among others, adds the heat pump so that the use of battery energy is more efficient, as well as fixed panoramic solar eecho with the Polestar logo and the Harman Kardon Premium Sound sound system; and Performance, which for 6,000 euros adds polished black 20″ 4-spoke Y-spoke forged wheels with high-performance tires, four-piston aluminum Brembo gold front calipers, perforated ventilated front discs, Öhlins Dual Flow Valve adjustable shock absorbers and dynamic chassis
