The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 with a 77.4 kWh battery already has prices for Spain

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been awarded as the best car of the year in the world. Such an appointment is loaded with reasons, since it is a very interesting state-of-the-art electric thanks to an excellent price-product ratio. Koreans keep it constantly evolving. at the end of last year the Ioniq 5 received an update in its battery system that now reaches the market with interesting prices, from 49,770 euros.

The Ioniq 5 and the KIA EV6 are based on the same e-GMP platform of the Korean automobile conglomerate. In addition to the obvious aesthetic differences between the two, the EV6 is capable of incorporating a larger battery. 77.4 kWh compared to 72.6 kWh for the Hyundai. After the update at the end of the year, both stacks have been equated in size, thus improving the autonomy of the Ioniq 5 until officially reaching a homologation of 507 kilometers in WLTP cycle.

Although Hyundai is still preparing a restyling that will have to see the light of day next year, so far it has only focused on the size of the battery. At an aesthetic and equipment level, the Ioniq 5 with a 77.4 kWh battery remains exactly the same as the one we already knewincluding its complete interior equipment with the curved double panel system of the dashboard and its extensive display of driving assistants and active and passive safety elements.

With the new battery, the Ioniq 5 reaches 507 km of autonomy.

On a mechanical level, the access variant remains in the Ioniq 5 unit with a 170 horsepower engine and a 53 kWh net capacity battery with an approved range of up to 384 kilometers. From there come into play new versions with 77.4 kWh net capacity battery with slightly improved power levels. At a first level of performance, 229 horsepower and 507 kilometers of range are offered, reaching a maximum of 325 horsepower with a double motor, all-wheel drive and 454 kilometers of autonomy.

The increase from 30 to 32 modules and from 360 to 384 cells has also meant an increase in sales prices. With a starting price of 46,200 euros for the model with a 53 kWh capacity battery, The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 with a 77.4 kWh battery is offered from a starting price of 49,770 euros, without offers or promotions. Amount that is associated with the Access Light finish. The most expensive of the family is the Ioniq 5 with 325 horses and Energy finish, which is offered from 63,270 euros.
