It must be recognized that Maxus is not the best known of the Chinese brands that are exporting their products to Europe. However, it has the impressive support of the SAIC Group, one of the most powerful manufacturers in the Asian country. The Maxus Euniq 6 is the company’s second model to arrive on the European continent. An average SUV that will try to find its place among other illustrious names such as the Volkswagen ID.4 or the Skoda Enyaq. Its great attraction will be the price.
Taking the Maxus Euniq 5 as an aesthetic reference, it must be recognized that the SUV improves the presence of the minivan with very prominent lines. A high front provides a forceful appearance, very SUV. Throughout the entire body there are different lines of tension and interesting details such as the 18-inch wheels.. The rear is just as powerful, with a lot of horizontal line that provides the feeling of packing and width typical of an SUV. Almost all the attention is taken by the lighting system with the LED strip joining the main optics.

By size, the Euniq 6 clearly falls into the D-SUV segment. Outwardly it reaches 4.73 meters long, 1.86 meters wide and 1.74 meters high. To these generous levels we must add a wheelbase of 2.76 meters and a capacity for a maximum of five passengers who will be separated from the ground by a free distance of 19 centimeters. Designed for family use, the trunk of the Maxus Euniq 6 has a volume of 754 litres, one of the largest in the category.
Inside doors Maxus presents a well-presented passenger compartment that at first glance gives a good feeling of quality. Different materials such as plastic, soft surfaces or leather are combined, all topped off with numerous lacquered black surfaces and multiple chrome trim strips. As for equipment, the offer will include interesting elements such as digital instrumentation or the multimedia system. A large touch screen in a vertical position is responsible for centralizing all the functions of the car.

Like the previous minivan, the Maxus Euniq 6 has a 100% electric drive scheme. Under the hood we find a propeller that offers 177 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. All the power goes to the front axle, and a battery with 70 kWh capacity is responsible for offering Approved autonomy of up to 354 kilometers in combined cycle and up to 452 kilometers in the urban cycle. For recharging, high-power systems are chosen that will allow going from 30 to 80% of the load in 35 minutes.
For the moment Maxus has chosen to start sales of its new Euniq 6 in Norway. The Nordic country is the first to receive a visit from the company’s global SUV, but it will not be the only territory it will inhabit. In the near future, the launch has been announced in other countries such as Germany or the Netherlands. Without news of when it will arrive in Spain, we can expect an approximate price of 42,000 euros, without aid or promotions. A closed cost since many customization options are not expected.
