The electric Pininfarina Battista begins to be manufactured: 1,900 CV and only 150 units

The first unit of the Pininfarina Battista will finally be delivered to its owner, who settles in the United States, after years of waiting, since the first look at this electric supercar occurred during the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, where showed its lines in the form of a concept model. Now the brand begins the production process of the model, which will have only 150 copies rolling around the world.

Each of the manufactured units of the Pininfarina Battista requires a total of 1,250 hours of work for the employees of the factory that the company owns in Cambiano, in the north of Italy, which has 2,300 square meters of surface. The 150 copies that will be manufactured will present an exclusive individual treatment by hand. In addition, the Italian firm will build 5 even more exclusive units, the so-called Pininfarina Battista Anniversario, which will need up to 1,340 hours for its production, since its hand painting requires a much more complex treatment.

The customization that your customers will be able to access will be maximum, since the firm promises that each unit will have for itself a total of 128 million possible combinations, between colors, finishes, moldings or interior upholstery; from Pininfarina they assure that “everything is possible” about this electric supercar.

This is the most powerful car ever made in Italy: its 1,900 hp and 2,360 Nm of maximum torque so they testify. Its mechanics, made up of a total of four electric motors, is shared with the Rimac Refrigerator and, in this case, it is capable of stopping the chronometer at the 0 to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds and 0 to 300 km/h in 12 seconds. Its maximum speed will be 350 km/h. The starting price of each of the units is 2.5 million euros, although most likely none of the 150 units will remain at that value, since the additional customization will mean an important economic extra in the final bill.

The manufacture of the Pininfarina Battista takes 1,250 hours per unit

The Pininfarina Battista has undergone a final fine-tuning in recent months before starting the production process, where certain tweaks in optimizing your electrical mechanical and software system of the vehicle itself, although this has not changed the specifications or the components that were already known from it.

From the firm they released some data on some after-sales packages for vehicle maintenance. First of all, the Eccellenza package offers 5 or 10 years of tuning for a value of 72,000 or 145,000 euros, respectively. Second, the so-called Futura extends the battery and powertrain warranty an additional 7 years (to make 10 years in total) for 150,000 euros. Finally, the Eterna package includes an even longer warranty on its mechanical components, as well as a set of replacement body parts. The price of this last package will depend on the specific configuration and specifications of the ordered vehicle.

The first Pininfarina Battista unit to go to an American customer will be delivered during the so-called “Monterey Car Week”next August. Subsequently, new units will arrive to their lucky owners all over the world. In Europe, several units are expected to land, especially in places of outstanding economic prestige, such as the Principality of Monaco.
