The electric Mercedes EQA 250+ is now available in Spain with 530 kilometers of autonomy

Mercedes is reaping good sales figures with its brand new electric family. The EQ range is constantly evolving. More models and more versions gradually arrive at dealerships. The latest to join this trickle of electrification is the Mercedes EQA 250+ version, the unit with the greatest autonomy within the range of the electric SUV for home access. It is already available in the Spanish market with a starting price of 55,250 euroswithout offers or aid plans and incentives.

If you want an electric and affordable, the cheapest from Mercedes is the EQA. With a half SUV, half crossover format, the compact electric is positioned as the entry to the EQ family. Presented at the end of last year, the range has not been completed until now with the version with the highest autonomy range. The EQA 250+ announces an approved autonomy of 530 kilometers thanks to an official consumption of just 15.3 kWh for every 100 kilometers traveled.

Without there being anything aesthetic that differentiates it from the rest of its brothers, the EQA 250+ offers the same design and the same technologies that we already knew, practically identical systems to those that we can see in the GLA and GLB since the same platform is shared . Mercedes takes advantage of the structure of the thermal versions, providing small modifications necessary for the incorporation of the entire electrical schemeincluding a large capacity battery, and all ancillary components.

With a distance of 4.46 meters long, the wheelbase is 2.73 meters, more than enough space for the integration of a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 71 kWh useful capacity. This battery, the largest in the range, discharges all its energy into a single front engine with a power of 190 horsepower. A propeller with humble figures that stands out for its efficiency and being capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.6 seconds with an official autonomy approved in the WLTP cycle of up to 530 kilometers.

With a starting price of €55,250, the EQA 250+ is just €1,500 more expensive than the EAQ 250, a model that until now was the reference in autonomy with an official figure of 493 kilometers. The little difference in price and the gain of almost 60 kilometers of range will make the 250+ version one of the most attractive in the range, keeping the same appearance, space, comfort and technology that was already present in the model.

Nothing changes, not even the benefits in terms of recharging. Mercedes opts for an electrical scheme that works at a voltage of 420 volts. At maximum power, the Mercedes EQA is capable of charge at 100 kW in direct current and up to 11 kW in alternating current. Optimal data, although nothing exaggerated. Thanks to this, the entire battery can be charged in just under 9 hours if we connect it to a 7.4 kW domestic outlet. A fast recharge from 0 to 80% can be done in just 30 minutes.
