Renault updates the one that has long been unot one of the most relevant electric cars on the European scene, the Renault ZOE, a model that Renault itself announces as the best-selling electric of the past decade. Now, with a latest update, the French utility vehicle suffers minor aesthetic changes, as well as equipmentto continue facing an increasingly numerous, technological and varied competition.
At the moment the Spanish division of Renault has not echoed the changes that will affect the ZOE that is marketed in our country, but the brand’s parent company has, who has detailed several aspects about this facelift.
Among others, the ZOE has lost in France the version of access to the range, represented by the 40 kWh capacity battery, which has caused its starting price to rise. In Spain, however, it is not planned or confirmed that it will lose this battery option.
Among the most outstanding changes for the entire ZOE range is that the most equipped version of all, the one called Iconic in France, gains golden accents that provide a plus of exclusivity over the rest of the variants, as well as the paint tone images unity grey. Predictably in Spain the Zen equipment line will disappear, which until now represented the top of the range of the small French electric, in favor of this Iconic new version.
In terms of equipment (and we insist, in Spain there is still nothing firm), the most basic version of the ZOE range for France will be the Equilibre, and as standard it already has a 10-inch digital instrument panel, a touch screen of 7-inch infotainment, keyless card, manual air conditioning, four speakers and the 22 kW AC charger, as well as automatic emergency braking (whether this helps improve the Euro NCAP zero stars remains to be seen).
Above all the above Zoe Evolutionwhich is the middle finish, adds navigation, rear parking sensors, automatic air conditioning and some more condition assistance systems, such as traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning and lane keeping assistant), while aesthetically it differs from the basic version thanks to 16-inch wheels.
The Iconic version is the one that stands out the most in the aesthetic section thanks to the aforementioned golden details of the bodywork and dark 17-inch wheels. Inside, a larger central screen and gold details set the tone for the rest of the range.
Currently the ZOE starts in Spain at a price of 31,721 euros, and it is relative to the Life version together with the 40 kWh battery and 80 kW electric motor (107 CV). Given that France has already begun to market this renewed ZOE, it is expected that the changes will be transferred to the Spanish market as soon as next July.
