The Czech firm has always been characterized by its elements focused on maximum practicality for its occupants through the famous “Simply Clever” philosophy. However, from Skoda UK they have created the definitive practical model, the so-called Skoda Enyaq iV 80 FestEVal. This is presented as a camperized variant of the electric SUV model and which has been created in collaboration with egoethe company specializing in this type of work.
Aesthetically, the model has not been modified, since its maxim will be to go unnoticed by outside eyes when the vehicle wants to dedicate itself to daily tasks. However, in its cabin, mainly, Egoe has provided a series of novelties and adaptations to life off the asphalt. Additionally, on the roof of the electric Skoda, a generous two-person tent can be installed. This can be assembled and disassembled in just a few minutes and has tools such as a fan that works with solar energy, an LED torch to illuminate the space, as well as a series of pockets to store objects.
However, the most notable changes are presented behind closed doors. The Skoda Enyaq iV 80 has a generous boot capacity of 585 liters of minimum volume, which can be increased to 1,710 liters if the rear row of seats is folded down. Egoe has been able to take advantage of this enormous interior space providing the model with a bed with capacity for two occupants, a kitchen, sink with tap and numerous compartments to store kitchenware or other objects. All this will be located on a removable horizontal platform located on the boot floor.
On this aforementioned platform, the firm specializing in camperization has adapted a series of mattresses to accommodate an interior bed on top of the Skoda Enyaq’s folded seats. Thanks to that, inside can sleep up to two people, although with a more limited space than in the case of a more conventional camper van, since the free height of the roof, for example, is much closer to the occupants. Additionally, also a series of blinds have been adapted for all the windows, in order to guarantee the maximum privacy of the cabin. The model comes equipped with a table and chairs with which to set up camp next to the electric car.
At the moment, this is not a vehicle that is going to be marketed en masse, although there are not a few people who have been interested in acquiring a unit of it. However, from Egoe they affirm that all the elements that have been attached to this Skoda Enyaq are for sale within its “camper” options catalog and that can be adapted to other vehicles, although these are not explicitly vans.
The Skoda Enyaq iV 80 FestEval has not modified the mechanics that the model already presents, so it continues to house a system of a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle and that produces a maximum power of 204 CV, as well as its battery with a gross capacity of 77 kWh with which it can reach the 544 kilometers of electric autonomy.
